Iconic SRT Performance Division Set To Return

Stellantis, the parent company of American brands Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM as well as the parent of Fiat and Alfa Romeo, announced it will be bringing back the iconic SRT (Street and Racing Technology) division it shuttered.
SRT, famous for bringing a number of iconic Chrysler products to market including the Dodge VIper, SRT10 Dodge RAM, Hellcat and much more. The return will also mark a move back into racing for brand. SRT will introduce a RAM truck to the NASCAR truck series in 2026 and has plans to increase it’s participation in NHRA.

Tim Kuniskis has been appointed to lead the new SRT division. Most recently he was head of the RAM division. He is also credited with seeing a significant revivial in RAM sales after bringing back the HEMI V8 option RAM trucks.
Connecting with our customers, delivering the products and experiences they want, is critical to reaching our full potential,” said Filosa. “Tim has proven time and time again that he is masterful at building brands that reach the heart and soul of the customer. We will leverage his energy, his strategic mindset and his competitive spirit to supercharge all our brand activities
No immediate announcement of what products will carry the SRT name. However, expect SRT badged models of existing cars to appear relatively soon as Stellantis hopes to leverage the iconic name plate and it’s connection with enthusiasts to help drive a sales turn around. Unique SRT vehicle models, like the former Dodge Viper, are likely further off into the future due to the high cost of development.
