Ariel Nomad 2 Is A Dakar Take On Kit Cars
While long a favorite choice of track enthusiasts with the Ariel Atom, in 2017 Ariel introduced their first take on a 911 Dakar style version of the Ariel, named the Nomad. In 2024 Ariel dropped a successor, the Ariel Nomad 2. And it is s glorious.

What’s New In The Ariel Nomad 2
One of the key highlights is a completely redesigned suspension. Featuring double, unequal length, wishbones with direct-acting outboard dampers, Nomad 2 has increased suspension travel over the original Nomad as well as totally revised suspension and steering geometry.
Another significant new piece is the Focus ST derived 2.3 liter turbo motor. This new power plant take the Ariel Nomad from 0-60 in 3.4 seconds, which is faster than a 911 Carrera, and nearly identical to a 911 Dakar. An all new engine management system allows the Ariel Nomad 2 to have different maps, including off-road and on-road variations.
